Phentermine is an FDA approved medication that has been available since 1959. It works by helping to release certain chemicals in the brain that control appetite and will help to help lose weight more effectively.
Phendimetrazine is an FDA-approved medication similar to Phentermine but may be better tolerated than phentermine for some patients. Phendimetrazine is used together with diet and exercise to treat obesity (over weight) in people.
Diethylpropion was first approved for use as a diet aide in the United States in 1959. The extended-release form of Diethylpropion is usually taken once a day in the mid-morning. There is an immediate-release medication usually taken 3 times a day and is used in people who are overweight and have not been able to lose enough weight with diet and exercise alone.

HCG

HCG targets the adipose fat (stubborn fat), so patients lose inches while they are losing weight. Between HCG and a low calorie diet, the average weight loss for patients is 10-15 pounds per month.

HCG Injections for Weight Loss

HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) is a hormone secreted by the placenta during pregnancy (the same hormone detected in home pregnancy kits). It was first used to help weight loss because several physicians noted that overweight women actually lost weight when they were pregnant. More than a dozen medical studies have shown that, combined with a low calorie diet and exercise, HCG increases fat loss and helps with loss of inches.

HCG has not been approved by the FDA for weight loss, although it has been approved for the treatment of other medical conditions. Federal laws allow medical providers to use the approved drugs for alternative treatments. It is called “OFF LABEL USAGE” and occurs quite frequently in the medical profession.

HCG is used in extremely low doses for weight loss. Weekly injection of 35 units is recommended. More frequent injection may be given after a re-evaluation and approval from your medical provider. HCG is used in much higher doses (140 times more than in a daily injection) to increase fertility. In the small dose of 35 units, HCG does NOT increase fertility. However, fertility is increased with every five (5) pounds of weight loss! HCG can cause a false pregnancy test in urine only.

In the past, some patients have not qualified for our regular weight loss program. This has been due to them not being the recommended percentage over their ideal weight or BMI being within normal range. Since HCG affects only the abnormal fat, such as “belly fat” or the “spare tire”, a larger number of patients will qualify for this treatment.

You do not have to take medications to lose weight with our program, but the medications will reduce your appetite, enabling you to stick to your diet longer and more efficiently. At first, nervousness, irritability, and insomnia may be associated with these medications, but these side effects dwindle in time.
